October 21, 2017 - Dalian, China
One chilly October morning, Elliot and I packed our lunches and went out to an empty parking lot by the ocean, near the brand new bridge in Dalian, to fly our kites.
I bought my kite on our amazing Xian trip. It was made of pictures of Beijing Opera characters. Elliot`s kite was from last year. It had a lot of experience in windy Dalian sky. It even had a name, but neither Elliot nor I can remember it now.
10 minutes into our kite flying, my kite got tangled. No matter how hard we tried we couldn`t untangle it. Elliot`s kite broke free from its string and flew over the ocean.
On our way back home, we walked through fields of wild flowers squeezed in between tall buildings and agressive construction sites. Like rebels.
